Board Meeting Minutes

June 18, 2016

Trading Post

Board Members/Officers Present:  Kim Cronin, Vice President; Nathan Archer, Treasurer; Joan Archer, Junior Recreation; Patrick Johnson, Maintenance; Gonzalo Santos, Technology.

Board Members/Officers Absent: David MacGown, President; Kevin Kovesci, Clerk; Tim Larkin, Security; Mike Mocarski, Roads.

Public Present:  None

CALL TO ORDER

Vice President, Kim Cronin called the meeting to order at 10:00 am.

 

 

APPROVAL OF THE APRIL 30th BOARD MEETING MINUTES

Patrick motioned to approve the April 30th Board Meeting minutes. Gonzalo seconded, Joan abstained, and the motion was passed.

 

 

PUBLIC DISCUSSION

There was no Public Discussion

 

 

TREASURER REPORT

Account Balances as of 5/31/16;

Cash on hand - $523,583.92

Tax collections FY 2015-16 - $479,233.03

2015-16 taxes to be collected - $11,786.33

Taxes to be collected from previous years – $21,388.19

General Fund Balance: $249,649

 

Committee Balances as of 5/31/16:

Junior Rec - $176,496

Marina – $59,813

Tennis - $7,733

Adult Rec – $2,588

Bocce - $120.00

Capital Improvements – $74,127.86

 

The accountant, Deanna, has the tax invoices ready and they will be mailed out by the end of the month.

 

Joan motioned to accept the Treasurer’s Report.  Patrick seconded and the report was accepted without dissent.

 

 

MARINA/GOLF CART REPORT

There was no Marina Report.

 

 

LIFEGUARD/WATERFRONT REPORT

There will be 3 guards on holidays and weekends and 2 during the week. There hours are currently 10-6 but that may change to 9-5 once the children’s summer program begins. The lifeguards started their summer schedule start today.

 

Painting and repairs have begun on the walls.

 

Gonzalo moved, and Joan seconded to accept the Lifeguard/Waterfront report.  The report was accepted without dissent.

 

 

JUNIOR RECREATION REPORT

The registration period for the 2016 Children’s Summer Program has closed. Parents may make changes up until Orientation day. The program begins on Monday June 27th and runs Monday through Friday until August 5th. The morning session will be held from 9-12pm. The afternoon session will be held from 1-4pm. Children must go home for lunch.  

 

Orientation will be held Sunday June 27th at the clubhouse at 1pm. We will begin with a few quick but important announcements so we ask that all parents be on time. After the announcements, we will address paperwork, shirts, etc.  

 

Counselor training will be held Sunday June 27th at the clubhouse at 10am.


Patrick moved, and Gonzalo seconded to accept the Junior Recreation report.  The report was accepted without dissent.

 

SECURITY REPORT

Tim was not present for a security report.

 

The Board discussed asking the security guards to do a sweep of the beach area at night every hour after 9:00 to make sure no one is gathering on the beach.

 

Tim and Gonzalo are reviewing new camera systems.

 

Pat moved, and Gonzalo seconded to accept the Security report.  The report was accepted without dissent.

 

MAINTENANCE REPORT

The fence around the grass patio at the clubhouse is being repaired. The basketball court will be power washed. More repairs are underway.

 

Gonzalo moved, and Joan seconded to accept the Maintenance report.  The report was accepted without dissent.

 

 

TECHNOLOGY REPORT

 

Gonzalo is working with Karen to get the new web site up and running.

 

Patrick motioned to accept the Technology Report. Joan seconded and the report was accepted without dissent.

 

 

ROADS REPORT

Mike was not present for a roads report.

 

 

OLD/NEW BUSINESS

There was no New Business.

Kim adjourned the meeting at 10:15 am.
