New Year’s Eve Family Party Great Fun
Brian McCrudden writes: “The party was a great success! All the adults and kids had a very nice time. We had about 16 families, 65 people altogether. The shrimp and filet mignon were cooked perfectly, a ‘10’ (so I was told).  Everyone brought delicious apps, sides and desserts. Some of the guests danced until midnight, and we had our champagne toast. Everyone helped clean up.  Here’s to a happy, healthy and prosperous 2010!”

Updates from the Board
Message from CITD President Jami Cheneski:
Happy New Year!   I hope that everyone had a very happy and healthy holiday.  As we begin 2010, I wanted to take a moment to publicly thank all the volunteers that made 2009 another great year on the Isle.  As most of you know, the CITD Board is made up exclusively of volunteers.  These individuals dedicate countless hours to making sure Candlewood Isle is secure, well maintained and thrives as a community through numerous social events and community programs.  In addition to the Board members, there are so many more volunteers in our community that deserve recognition and thanks.  These residents work to make our Camp arguably the best camp in the county, our adult functions fun and frequent, and go out of their way to keep CI beautiful by planting flowers, helping with the spring clean-up, or power- washing the tennis court!   The list of volunteers is too numerous to mention by individual name, but my hope is all are known and acknowledged regularly.  Many donate their time; others donate financially; all are appreciated.  I hope as I express my tremendous gratitude and thanks that you will do the same next time you encounter one of our many volunteers.
Let’s make 2010 another great year on Candlewood Isle!
